Hey Hey! Last week I was participating in the #jobhunt chat on Twitter and we were talking about how to choose the right job when dealing with two job offers and I put forward my theory on using a decision matrix. @jobsessed caught onto the theory and wanted a detailed explanation of what exactly is a decision matrix and how could it be used to help people decide between two jobs. So here’s a quick video about my Decision Matrix.

Okay I think I need my head read! I’ve done something crazy. With the success of the Old Spice Man commercial last week I decided to put together my own “Old SpiceMan” commercial and advertise my top secret on how to deal with annoying people!

Hey Hey! Last week I spent a bit of time on Twitter and came across some really interesting tweets from people tweeting about crazy inventions. Each tweet had a tag line of “Stroke of Genius” attached to it so I was curious to find out what was going on. When I delved into it further I found out that the tweets were part of a really cool competition called “Stroke of Genius” run by the Stroke Foundation of Australia to celebrate the creativity of the brain. What a awesome idea! Here’s a quick video of what I discovered:

Entrepreneurial Advice - Dragons Den

I LOVE the world of business. To me it’s not just about making money (okay that is a big part of it) but for me personally it’s the ideas and the people behind the business that really makes me passionate about it. I love hearing both success and failure stories of entrepreneurs because you can learn so much from them. Dragon’s Den is a tv show about business and since I LOVE business I was firmly hooked on the series.

“Ready, Fire, Aim!” I’ve used this phrase on three different occasions this week to motivate a few friends who have been doing a lot of thinking in relation to starting a business. Now thinking first before you act is very good but there comes a time when you’ve done enough thinking and it’s now time to take action. The tricky bit is figuring out when that time is.

Car troubles are always a worry regardless of whether you have a new car or an old one. Sometimes there’s no conceivable reason for a car to break down - especially when everything seems to be working fine one minute and then the next your car won’t start. One of life little mysteries I suppose but there’s an important lesson to be learned here.

Hope you can forgive me! This week I’ve got something cool for you. A quick interview with the legendary Warwick Merry - The Get More Guy.

Love or Fear

I was talking to a friend the other day about decision making and she said the most interesting thing - all decisions are based on either love or fear. I’m not sure if I agree with that but I thought it would be an interesting topic to look at this week. Do we actually base all our decisions on just two emotions of love or fear? Or is there more to it?
